Scientific Collaborations
Jamie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Austin Peay State University, where she laid the foundation for her journey into the world of biological sciences.
A post-baccalaureate fellowship at the National Cancer Institute solidified the decision to continue with cancer research, and led to the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program at Harvard Medical School and a Ph.D. in Cell Biology. Jamie’s thesis research focused on mTOR signaling and alternative splicing regulation.
After a stint in education including serving as the Instructor for the Biology of Cancer course at Harvard Extension School, Jamie helped start and grow SHEPHERD biotech, where they focused on developing drugs for rare cancer patients.
